Five percent of sales from the main capsule will be donated to the lemlem Foundation, to further programs that support women artisans in Africa. Additionally, The Woolmark Company supported a masterclass for five female weavers, training the women in using Merino wool for the first-time. This special group created a scarf series, and 100% of the sales from each scarf will be donated to the lemlem Foundation.

Seljak

Seljak is known for its closed loop 100% recycled Merino wool blankets. For every ten blankets sold, Seljak Brand donates one to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in Victoria, Australia, where asylum seekers are made to feel welcome, safe and supported. Providing job training, access to health services and legal advice, as well as food and household goods, ASRC offers the support and opportunities asylum seekers need to live independently. To date, Seljak has donated 160 blankets to ASRC.

Outerknown

Outerknown partners with Ocean Conservancy to protect our planet’s lifeblood. From seeds to suppliers to circular design, the brand’s mission is to protect natural resources, empower the people crafting our clothes, and inspire change within the industry and beyond by being completely transparent about their process. Outerknown kicked off its long-term partnership with Ocean Conservancy in 2017 with the launch of the “It’s Not OK!” campaign, a giveback program designed to bring awareness to environmental issues. Outerknown donated 100% of profits raised from this collection to Ocean Conservancy. Since the “It’s Not OK!” campaign, Outerknown continues to support Ocean Conservancy with various other spirited initiatives, including but not limited to 12 Days of Giving, Giving Tuesday and the Breitling x Outerknown collaboration give-back. In 2019, Outerknown launched the world’s first Merino wool swim trunk in partnership with The Woolmark Company. Merino wool’s natural benefits, such as wool fibres biodegrading in marine environments, made this partnership a natural fit.

Emilia Wickstead

Titled ‘Ordinary Yet Extraordinary Women’, Wickstead worked with The Woolmark Company in 2019 to create an Australian Merino wool collection inspired by the women from her New Zealand homeland and their strong connections between whānau (family), hoa (friends) and Papatūānuku (Mother Earth). As a celebration of women across the world, Emilia Wickstead will be donating a percentage of the collection to Smart Works – a charity which supports and dresses women for job success.
